Allama Muhammad Iqbal was a great poet and thinker of the 20th century. With his extraordinary creativity, he laid the foundation for a great change in the world of Urdu and Persian poetry and literature. Not only did he infuse poetry with new themes, but his achievement in art is also exceptional. Iqbal expanded the boundaries of poetry by creating new symbols, new metaphors, new similes and new patterns.His poetic style has immense appeal. Even during Iqbal's time and even after his death, many poets tried to follow his poetic style, themes and ideas, but no one could achieve success up to his standards. Among the few poets who have achieved great success in following the thoughts and style of Iqbal, the most prominent name is that of Aslam.Aslam Khan was a resident of Ghor Ghshti, a village of Attock district. He was a powerful poet of Persian and Urdu. His Urdu poetry is a successful and unique attempt to follow Iqbal. He also took correction in poetry from Iqbal, in this sense he was considered as Iqbal's disciple. In this article, the aspects of Aslam Khan's poetry are clarified with examples which are very similar to Iqbal's poetic style.
